Brown and blue are on the top of trendy color combinations. They are just what your toes need for a modern geometrical look or a feminine flowery touch. Balance these two colors with a neutral white, which also adds some contrast to designs. If you feel like experimenting, replace the blue polish in the designs with any other bright color: pink, orange or green. Brown and white polishes are a great background for your designs as you can easily hide imperfections by simply painting over them with your background colors.

Start with a clear base coat. Follow with a layer or two of a white nail polish. Usually it's hard to apply white polish evenly and your geometrical design will nicely cover it. As always apply a layer of clear nail polish first. Let it dry well and then paint your toenails with dark brown polish. One layer will most likely be enough.
Paint a combination of geometrical shapes with blue and brown polish colors. A circle is easier to form by drawing two half circles. For the square shapes use the edge of your brush. Create an ornate flowery pattern with a white nail polish. All the shapes in this design have started with a dot of polish that was then transformed intro a leaf or a larger dot for the flower.
Create a more sophisticated look by adding a few dots in blue and brown polish outside or inside of your basic shapes. Outline the flowers with a blue nail polish. Painted over white it will stand out really well and will give your toes a southwestern look.
